I provide high-level advice and guidance or I can be embedded in a client team and work through the detail of a proposition or delivery programme. I work solo or in collaboration with other consultancies.

Analysis

I designed and delivered a comprehensive re-design of the UK government’s post-Brexit approach to attracting inward investment in regeneration, real estate, and infrastructure projects, resulting in a major increase in deal making from European institutional investors.
I provided research and expert advice to the Independent Birmingham Housing Commission, shaping the future of the council’s strategic management and investment in its £8bn housing stock.
I delivered a skills, employment, and community development audit for Thamesmead on behalf of Peabody Housing to shape its £1bn regeneration programme for the estate.
I managed process and outcome evaluations for two £50m New Deal for Communities programmes in London and Birmingham, making detailed recommendations for future delivery improvements.

Strategy

I was the lead author of the Margate Renewal Framework, putting the town on the path to long-term revitalisation after decades of socio-economic decline.
I developed the Oxfordshire Investment Prospectus, facilitating agreement between the council, University, and colleges, and setting out an inclusive, ambitious vision for the future of the city and county.
I developed a town centre regeneration programme for Kidderminster through engagement with local, regional, and national stakeholders to develop a series of transformative propositions.
I developed Social Investment Strategies for the London Borough of Lambeth, setting out a programme of community development and public service improvements for six large housing estates.

Fundraising

I led the development of the Swindon and Wiltshire Strategic Economic Plan, securing £122m from public and private investors in skills, infrastructure, and new housing.
I developed the successful Town Deal bids for Runcorn and Colchester, securing vital investment into two of England’s fastest growing urban centres.
I wrote the ESF funding bid for the Port of Tilbury, bring together statutory and voluntary agencies to develop a pioneering approach to inclusive growth using outreach to engage local labour.
I developed socio-economic masterplans for Fenland market towns as the basis for successful funding bids to the Combined Authority.

Delivery

I caried out a review of delivery arrangements for the Harlow and Gilston Garden Town, making recommendations to accelerate delivery of new homes and infrastructure.
I conducted a process and impact review for the Thurrock Urban Development Corporation.
I designed and facilitated an inclusive growth learning network for the University of Manchester to support the ten Manchester councils to deliver their inclusive growth ambitions.
I guided the initial development of three Big Local projects, in Hackney Wick, Hounslow, and Hastings, developing ten-year development plans with support from Big Local.
